I wonder if you had white actors making rude comments about black people in the movie if that would be acceptable? Oh, let me guess, whites did that for decades so that makes this ok. Things will never change. Let’s flip reality and make it so it was black people who colonized the world, enslaved, and grew rich off of whites in this country, only to finally, hundreds of years later, begrudgingly give them freedom only to crush them under systemic racism–a gentleman’s racism if you would.

Adam Gilson, here’s the thing. I need this Shuri – Don’t scare Me like that Colonizer Black Panther shirt. Your generalizations are no different than theirs. And it’s not social commentary, it’s just plain rude and stereotypes. It’s no different than Mr. Jefferson calling his neighbor a honkey. I loved that show and still watch the reruns. But it doesn’t mean the comments were ok. My point is, if one race did it, and that wasn’t ok, why is it acceptable for another to do it? It isn’t. And once again, it isn’t social commentary it’s stereotyping and rude.
