Now there’s a word that can have a totally different connotation for each of Snoopy I’ve decided I’m not old I’m 25 plus shipping and handling shirt defines the word “brave” as “being ready to face and endure danger or pain; showing courage” as in a soldier or warrior. I think a soldier or warrior is the most common representation of someone who is brave, and rightfully so. That brings up the question of what does being brave have to do with tonight’s purse?

Well, when I bought this patriotic theme fabric, I thought Snoopy I’ve decided I’m not old I’m 25 plus shipping and handling shirt, “This is great because I can cheat when it comes to naming the purses I make from it since I can just steal one of the patriotic phrases scattered across it!” (And by the way, I’m sure you’ve noticed a trend in this week’s purse pics all have either been black and white or patriotic; similar in many ways, yet in true Sew Busy Originals style, all different at the same time!) Anyway, that was my name-that-purse-plan today as I worked on this one.
However, it wasn’t a phrase, but the single word “brave” that kept jumping off the fabric at me. Most of us don’t think of ourselves as being brave soldiers or warriors, but I think we all exhibit varying degrees of bravery in one way or another every day. For some, simply getting out of bed to face the day takes bravery. Or maybe it’s forcing ourselves to walk into a doctor appointment to hear the prognosis of a medical condition facing us or what about those times when we found ourselves in the position of looking for a new job and had to go for an unnerving job interview.
