I never did any schedule. I literally felt like a failure because all other moms seemed to have it all together and had their babies on a perfect sleep/nap schedule. She never slept in her crib up until recently. And even now when we’re having a rough night with her, we allow her to sleep in her swing all night to keep her comfortable. Do whatever works for you. There are no rules and every baby is different. You can do all the research in the world but if your baby isn’t down for it, it won’t happen.

My little one naps when she feels like it and that’s okay. She’s awake more during the day but doesn’t have a “set nap time”. She has been sleeping through the night for 3.5 months. Set a defined routine. If nap time as an example lunch 15 mins playtime then nap always the same each day is important. Having a nap routine where she sees or hears fav toy is really good. Nite time should be different. Dinner, playtime, bath book, and bed. It will be normal for her to cry while you’re trying.to get her on a schedule.
